Detroit Strip Clubs: Chicago Invest Firm, Owner Ordered To Repay $50 Million To Pensions
August 5, 2009 at 10:12 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsBy Darrell A. Hughes Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- The former president of a Chicago-based investment firm has been ordered to restore $50 million in losses to five Michigan pension funds, the U.S. Labor Department said Wednesday.
The department filed a lawsuit in April 2008 against AA Capital Partners Inc., along with its co-owner and president John Orecchio, for allegedly misusing plan assets, charging the plans excessive fees on investments and making imprudent investments. The firm’s chief financial officer, Mary Elizabeth Stevens, and an affiliate were also named in the lawsuit.
From 2002 to 2006, Orecchio improperly used $25.9 million of the plans’ assets to pay for the firm’s operating expenses, renovations to a horse farm, and investing in a strip club owned by Orecchio, among other things.

Call me crazy, but I feel bad for Plaxico Burress. He didn’t hurt anyone, besides himself, and he got a raw deal. There are so many worse things he could have done: killed someone (see: Ray Lewis), raped a woman (see: Big Ben), taken a dump in his girlfriend’s hamper (see: Najeh Davenport), or some other awful act. Lest we forget, he didn’t paralyze a strip club worker (see: Pacman), he didn’t organize a dog-fighting ring (see: Vick), he just shot himself.
The old saying goes, ‘If you need a gun to go somewhere you probably shouldn’t be going there.’ Well a week before Plax shot himself teammate Steve Smith was reportedly robbed outside of his own home. Last week boxer Vernon Forrest was shot dead after being carjacked. If these athletes can’t go to their own home without protection, where can they go and feel safe? Plax was just trying to avoid getting robbed, if you ask me he’s a vigilante.

The head of one of Europe’s biggest biker gangs says his group is not involved in organised crime, despite its members murdering an arch rival and taking part in a mini riot.
The Outlaws biker gang rejects police beliefs that it is involved in organised crime
Dink is European and Asian President of The Outlaws Motorcycle Club, a group he says is just friends getting together for a laugh but which police say is involved in drugs, prostitution, murder and extortion throughout the world.
Detectives fear a worldwide feud between the Outlaws and sworn enemies the Hells Angels is increasingly being played out in the UK.
But Dink told Sky News: “If any of our lads have done anything wrong we’ve been punished for it. We’re disorganised really, we just get together and have a laugh, we’re just different.”
