One-time supermodel Cindy Crawford , 43, and her husband Rande Gerber, 47, were the victims of a $100,000 extortion plot involving inappropriate pictures of their 8-year-old daughter, Kaia, according to court filings Thursday in Los Angeles. KTLA-TV reports the picture in question was taken without the Gerbers’ knowledge by the child’s nanny last year, and showed the little girl “in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged.” The child reportedly told her parents that it was all part of a “cops and robbers” game. Charged with a single count of extortion is a male model by the name of Edis Kayalar, recently deported to Germany. London’s Daily Mail reports the 26-year-old German national stole the picture and threatened to sell it. The nanny has not been charged.

Detroit — According to police accounts, not only does Eiland Johnson not know how to behave at a nightclub, he doesn’t know how to dress for one either.
Johnson, 38, is one of three men accused of the murder of Robert Alexander in a Southfield nightclub on Aug. 9 as reported Friday in The Detroit News.
As it happens, Johnson is also the suspect in a Detroit strip club shooting 10 days earlier.
According to Sgt. Todd Eby of the Detroit Police Department, Johnson was drinking at Cheetah’s on The Strip on Eight Mile on July 30, when he got into an altercation with a stripper.

Detroit –Detroit may yet ban alcohol and lap dances at strip clubs, but the controversial crackdown is likely in limbo until next year.
Before a crowd of about 200, City Council members feuded briefly Friday. But too few showed up to introduce regulations in time to vote on changes Nov. 20, the last day before a recess until year’s end. That likely will delay the issue until January, when five new council members come on board.
“At this point, it really is an issue for the next council,” said Council President Kenneth Cockrel Jr.
For much of the year, religious and community leaders have urged the council to get tough on the clubs. But the city already is facing several lawsuits related to its regulation of them. The possible crackdown also would outlaw VIP rooms and force topless dancers to wear opaque pasties.
