Detroit — City water officials are investigating why a city-owned Ford Focus assigned to an upper-level security officer was briefly seized by police last month outside a known crack house on the city’s west side.
During a Nov. 18 police sweep at 4 a.m., police cited the vehicle’s driver, Adrian J. Garrison, 40, of Detroit who records show has warrants for failing to appear at a sentencing in 1999 for misdemeanor drug and prostitution charges. She identified herself as the spouse of the water officer, James Crook, and said she was at the house to pick up her sister, police said. Water records later identified her as his ex-girlfriend.
Detroit Adult Entertainment: City looks to restrict body rub parlour hours
December 4, 2009 at 5:13 am | In Detroit adult entertainment | No Comments… All we want to do is stay in business, keep the customers happy, keep the employees happy, so that everybody has their jobs and everything is regulated,” said Cascadden, who welcomes legislation that will, for the first time, govern body rub parlours in Windsor and which she believes will give her industry a stamp of legitimacy. “It has been a long time coming.”
Coun. Caroline Postma, who sits on the licensing committee, made a successful motion to submit the draft regulation to council, but only after the licence commission attempts to find some “middle ground” on hours more conducive to adult entertainment. The hours the licensing commission proposed are: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. through the week, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Detroit Escorts: Court Docket: Men plead guilty to killing retired doctor
December 4, 2009 at 1:48 am | In Detroit escorts | No CommentsDarrell Harris and Kamico Jackson, both 24, pleaded guilty in Wayne County Circuit Court to second-degree murder for killing Dr. Gary Ceresnie, who collapsed and died Aug. 9 after stumbling into a Detroit restaurant. An autopsy said Ceresnie died of a heart attack brought on by a beating.
Prosecutors dismissed charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery in exchange for the two men’s plea.
Harris is set for sentencing Dec. 16, while Jackson will be sentenced Dec. 21.
According to testimony at an earlier hearing, Ceresnie traveled from his Farmington Hills home to McGraw Road, in a southwestern Detroit neighborhood known for prostitution. He reportedly offered $40 each to co-defendants Teanna Keens, 32, and Stephanie Cross, 19, for sex, but instead the women lured Ceresnie to their former home on St. John Street, where Harris and Jackson were hiding.
Detroit Escorts: Is Tiger Woods’ Personal Life Anyone’s Business?
December 4, 2009 at 1:48 am | In Detroit escorts | No CommentsBLOCK: Can you imagine him going on “Oprah”? I mean, this is a guy who has famously guarded his privacy and his family’s privacy. He’s not out there all the time shaking hands. I mean, anything but.
Mr. ROSENBERG: Well, it’s certainly not what he would prefer, but he has to recognize the situation it is. I guess in golf terms, if you’re in the trap, you’re in the trap. You’ve got to get out of it one way or the other. So if his handlers and he decide that he needs to do that, then he can do that.
BLOCK: It does seem to me to be – there’s just some hypocrisy here. I mean, Tiger Woods was not named in a prostitution ring. He wasn’t arrested in a men’s room. He wasn’t beating up a girlfriend. I mean, why should he have to say anything at all besides to his wife and his family?
