Detroit Adult Entertainment: You’re never out of the Woods when you text

Tiger, Tiger: Texting is not too bright. Woods has fallen into a messaging ambush of his own making — as did, before him, New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Nevada Sen. John Ensign.
Cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubb says she had a 31-month affair with Woods and has provided Us Weekly text messages allegedly from him. She says she has more than 300.
Grubb has also provided a voice mail she says is from Woods. In it, a worried man’s voice says, “Hey, it’s, uh, it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. … You’ve got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye.”
Tracy Quan, author of “Diary of a Jetsetting Call Girl,” said with some sympathy: “It’s like we’re back in the 19th century: ‘Please! Burn my letters!’ ”

Court Docket: Man may accept plea offer in online sex sting
December 10, 2009
A Clawson man accused of soliciting sex from a person he thought was a teenager has a tentative plea deal with prosecutors that calls for him to serve county jail time instead of prison.
In Livingston County District Court on Wednesday, defense attorney Mack Spickard said the state’s attorney general’s office has offered to recommend his client, John Deleo Custer, serve no more than one year in the county jail if the 40-year-old defendant pleads guilty to child abusive commercial activity and using a computer to commit that crime. The charges carry a penalty of up to 20 years and four years, respectively, in prison.
That plea deal, if accepted, will be formally entered when Custer appears for a pretrial hearing in Circuit Court, which had not been set as of Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday, he waived a preliminary hearing, sending the case to the higher court.
