She regularly sparred with a fellow city councilmember, Monica Conyers wife of Democratic Congressman John Conyers Jr. who recently pleaded guilty to bribery charges. She’s also had her differences with the current city council president Ken Cockrel Jr., her own stepson. He recently called her leaving the city council’s chambers during the strip club debate “the height of irresponsibility” that “shows a high level of disrespect for the people that put elected officials in office.”

What happened next is a matter of dispute. Wasiluk said he and Yildiz met a Guelph man named Huy “Mikey” Ta, who was the target of a Canadian police investigation into an Asian organized crime ring. Wasiluk said he overheard Ta and Yildiz discussing a deal for all the guns. Yildiz asked Ta how he would pay and Ta said he had lots of money, Wasiluk said.
But Wasiluk has given conflicting versions of what happened and in September, an Ontario judge discounted his testimony, ruling that what he heard at the strip bar was “at best an expression of interest in the purchase of firearms. It was far from an agreement.” The judge dismissed 91 counts against Ta. But Ta did plead guilty to illegal possession of three handguns that belonged to Yildiz — a Beretta and two Taurus PT100s.

But the $100 billion pledge isn’t enough for insatiable liberals – they’re hoping for an announcement of increased levels of emission cuts by 2020, which would result in more government regulation and less industry innovation. And as always, the decision needs to be made immediately and is very historic. House Republicans said they would introduce a “disapproval resolution” that would block any efforts to fund the pledge.
In the end, it’s pretty funny seeing delegates from all over the world and virtually every country take 11 days and have nothing to show for it – other than a STD from the free prostitution offers by the sex workers’ union.
