Detroit Strip Clubs: Getaway driver charged in home invasion
January 31, 2010 at 11:00 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsAfter the arrest of the male in the bushes, police arrested the driver in the vehicle by herself on Gardenia east of Campbell, Young said. Two other males were arrested on foot on Gardenia near Stephenson Highway, Young said.
The Crime Suppression Task Force is funded by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department and uses officers in local agencies to conduct undercover work, according to Young.
‘SIGNIFICANT AID’
“Without a doubt, (the task force) was a significant aid in our investigation with the capture of four other suspects,” Young said. “It was excellent police work by patrol officers and detectives in the Crime Suppression Task Force.”
Police believe the 27-year-old homeowner was randomly targeted, Young said. The homeowner works at the front door of Cheetah’s On The Strip, described by police as a gentleman’s club, at 19245 W. Eight Mile in Detroit. Police believe the suspects followed her home after the bar closed, Young said.

Detroit Strip Clubs: Jackson said he’d laugh ‘all the way to the bank’ in Synagro deal
January 31, 2010 at 4:13 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsProsecutors showed a video shot inside the car of former Synagro Vice President James R. Rosendall in early 2008, who by then was cooperating with the FBI. The video shows Rayford Jackson detailing payments he had made to Conyers and others to assure the contract would pass.
Jackson says on the tape he paid all members of the City Council, though it is not clear whether he is referring to bribes or campaign donations, which are legal. Also, FBI Special Agent Michael Lubisco, who headed the investigation, testified Jackson sometimes lied to Rosendall.
In the video, Jackson tells Rosendall that Bernard N. Kilpatrick, the father of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, had been making $45,000 a month as a consultant since his son became mayor.
The trial in front of a jury and Cohn has already heard testimony from officials of a technology company and a strip club who say Riddle shook them down.
