Google has apologized and removed a gruesome image inadvertently captured at the scene of a homicide outside a Windsor, Ont. strip club.
The web search company dispatched one of its Street View camera teams to Ontario’s most southwestern city last summer.
Street View is a web application that allows a person a street-level view of a given address or neighbourhood. The cameras construct a view that allows a person to simulate the effect of spinning in a circle or walking down the street.
In this particular instance, the camera team drove by Leopard’s Lounge and Broil at 1190 Wyandotte St. W. Only hours earlier, a murder had taken place.
