Detroit Strip Clubs: ‘My Sharona’ singer Doug Fieger dies at age 57

Doug Fieger was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005. Fieger eventually had surgery to remove half of one of his lungs due to tumors and also had surgery to remove brain tumors.
Doug Fieger was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan but moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. Fieger was a regular performer on the Sunset Strip club scene in Hollywood during the 1970s. He died Sunday at his home in Woodland Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles.
