Detroit Strip Clubs: Streetscape revisited
April 1, 2010 at 11:24 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsWe never wanted Google to come to Windsor, poking into every nook and cranny of the city and taking 3-D pictures of our neighbourhoods.
But since they went and infiltrated our space anyway, we suppose it’s a good idea the company has agreed to return to Windsor to “reshoot” the streetscapes taken during the 101-day municipal strike last summer.
What Google captured wasn’t pretty: Mounds of garbage piled outside area homes and businesses. Parks full of thigh-high weeds and litter. (And, if that weren’t enough, a bloody murder scene at a Wyandotte Street West strip club, which Google has since eliminated.)
City councillors and bureaucrats are thankful the Internet giant will wipe the slate clean and start again in the next few months. But be careful what you wish for: There’s no guarantee we’ll look that much prettier this year than last.
