Detroit Strip Clubs: 15 NFL Players Who Had Horrible 2010 Offseasons

June 30, 2010 at 9:13 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

Willie Colon One of the worst parts of the offseason is the injuries sustained by players who never get to see the field in 2010. Willie Colon, is one of those victims. Colon tore his achilles in June and will miss the entire season. The blow is a big one for the Steelers who might have encountered the worst offseason of any NFL team. The injury leaves them searching for a new right tackle. And for Colon, who is on a one year contract, the timing couldn’t have been worse. The chances he’ll receive that contract extension he longs for may have been ripped away.
Vince Young
Can’t fault Vince Young for the pride in his alma mater. It really is a good football school.
Unfortunately, he didn’t realize it’s not worth fighting for.
Young found himself in a strip club brawl and right back into the spotlight he had begin to disappear from.

Detroit Strip Clubs: Detroit’s new factory of dreams

June 30, 2010 at 9:13 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

On the other hand, just down the road, stands an icon of hope, a gargantuan factory complex, the Russell Industrial Center. It has the same lofty pedigree as the Packard plant (both were designed by Albert Kahn) and a similar vintage (it was built in the 1920s). As the former headquarters of Murray Corp., which made bodies for Ford in the glory days, this plant, too, is inhabited by ghosts. Here, however, the ghosts share quarters with some spirited company: a menagerie of glass blowers, cabinetmakers, architects, seamstresses, a sneaker designer, and three women who teach pole dancing, among others — 160 small-business tenants in all, most of them operating on the frontlines of Detroit’s burgeoning creative economy.
Their landlord is Dennis Kefallinos, 55, who immigrated from the Greek island of Zakynthos when he was 15, found a job as a dishwasher, and in all these years has never once stopped working long enough to learn how to read and write properly. Today, while he’s best known around town as the owner of Niki’s Pizza and a place called Bouzouki (which is, gulp, a strip club), he’s one of the city’s biggest real estate barons.

Detroit — A lawyer for the family of slain exotic dancer Tamara “Strawberry” Greene asked a judge Tuesday to order former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to sit for a video deposition in state prison.
Greene, who was linked to a rumored stripper party at the mayor’s Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002, was shot to death in Detroit on April 30, 2003.
Her family is suing Kilpatrick and the city of Detroit, alleging they obstructed the investigation of her still-unsolved murder. The defendants deny the allegations.
Norman Yatooma, the lawyer for Greene’s family, has attempted for months to schedule a sworn deposition of Kilpatrick, now serving time for a probation violation at Oaks Correctional Facility near Manistee.

Detroit Strip Clubs: The Growlers at the Detroit Bar Last Night

Critic’s Bias: The first quarter of my college radio show focused on surf and surf-inspired music. I’m pretty much a sucker for this stuff. Give me some reverb and cloying allusions to California, and I’m there.
The Crowd: A whole lot of dudes who looked like they listened to classic rock radio in high school, then grew up and tried to make that ’70s nostalgia part of a disaffected hipster routine. And a lot of girls in Forever 21 club-wear. However, this mix is not too out of the ordinary; there was no animosity and an abundance of positive vibes.
Overheard in the Crowd: “I saw a video of Bettie Page doing a striptease, and it was cool, because it wasn’t as sexy as it was adorable. Why can’t more strippers be adorable?”

Detroit Escorts: Countries should share knowledge to help with the fight against HIV

Meanwhile, a fifth of prostitutes in Djibouti are affected and just over five per cent of homosexual men in Egypt have contracted the disease.
The UAE did not provide any data on the modes of transmission in its 2010 HIV progress report to the UN.Hind Khatib, the regional director of UNAids, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/Aids, said countries should take advantage of others experiences, particularly when it comes to sensitive issues. It is easy for a country to say it is a social, cultural and religious issue, and push you back, she said. But if you bring another country which has already tackled the issue, they cant push you back.
Morocco is also a conservative country, she said, but has set up a successful prevention programme that works with prostitutes and homosexuals. The UNAids report also praises Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, Lebanon, Somalia and Yemen for making great efforts to track the high-risk populations.Just because you make an effort to target and acknowledge these groups, Ms Khaitb said, it does not mean you are encouraging it.

Detroit Escorts: Great show ‘Hung’ in the middle of HBO Sunday night

June 28, 2010 at 9:25 pm | In Detroit escorts | No Comments

Now obviously Ray stopped being the true everyman once he became a male prostitute, but the central conflicts of his life  his complicated yearning for reunion with his wife and children and the physical and psychological barriers keeping him away from that  are universal to all. Frankly, for a channel thats known for highbrow, artistic television shows, its refreshing to hear plain-speaking Ray talk about how fixing the roof to his house is probably the answer to all his problems (even if it obviously isnt).
What makes the show even more fun is how the entire cast of Hung surrounds plain Ray with a bunch of oddballs and screw-ups.
In particular, despite Ray being a relative novice in the field of male prostitution, the second season premiere, which aired Sunday, pits Ray in the middle of a power struggle between his former pimp Tanya (Jane Adams) and his current one Lenore (Rebecca Creskoff).

Detroit Escorts: HUNG "Just the Tip" Review (Season 2 Premiere)

June 28, 2010 at 9:24 pm | In Detroit escorts | No Comments

When we left Hung at the end of last season, Ray was just starting to become comfortable in his role as the sole prostitute for Happiness Consultants, the brainchild of his somewhat dorky pimp, Tanya. Although they had suffered some bumps along the way including Ray’s relationship with a customer that became a little too close, Ray’s reluctance to satisfy customers that were, shall we say, older and dowdy types, and Tanya’s ambition to grow the company without having any idea on how to do so, things seemed to be coming along. At the very end of the season, Ray was sent on a job that turned out to be his ex-wife Jessica and had agreed to allow Lenore, a shrewd and put together businesswoman, become a part owner and co-pimp of Happiness Consultants, much to the complete dismay of Tanya.

Detroit Escorts: Hung Review: "Just the Tip"

June 28, 2010 at 9:24 pm | In Detroit escorts | No Comments

With “Just the Tip,” Hung returned right where we left it at the end of season one.  There is a power struggle inside the newly arranged three-way prostitution ring and Ray’s feelings for his ex-wife are getting the best of him.
During the meeting of Happiness Consultants, Lenore both takes control of the operation and cracks me up in the process.  Her idea is that “Although we sell dick, and not cars, we could learn a lot from Diego Rivera.”  To remain at the top, she makes Ray give Tanya 20% out of his 60% cut.
As a result, Tanya attempts to get some of her control back.  She heads out to the Donut Hole for a little prostitute research.  Luckily, she finds the local pimp of female prostitutes, who spits a whole bunch of knowledge at her.  I’m glad to see that Tanya should be getting a leg up on Lenore soon.  The teacher/student, or dominant/submissive, relationship would start to get old if allowed to continue.

Detroit Escorts: ‘Hung’ – ‘Just the Tip’ Recap (Season Premiere)

June 28, 2010 at 9:24 pm | In Detroit escorts | No Comments

First of all, Ray started the episode by feeling a little blue about Jessica and his life in general. But he managed to turn things around. Instead of sinking into listlessness over her animosity towards life, he saw it as an opportunity to fill a hole. (No, not that kind of hole, but rather, an emotional hole.) He relaxed. He listened to her. He persuaded her to bowl a few games with him, and they were happy.
He’s also seeing an opportunity with the baseball team at school. Despite the fact that Detroit is in an economic decline, he’s vowing to do everything he can to make sure they go to the state championships. Go, team! And go, Ray! Where there’s a will, there’s a way. And a Ray, too.
Meanwhile, Tanya’s seeking out valuable info from a professional pimp. Figure out what your people’s problems are and fix them. Figure out what they need and give it to them. For Ray, that meant taking him a burger and advising him to see Claire as Jessica when they were married and she was pregnant with their children.
