DETROIT (AP) – The Detroit Free Press is renewing its effort to persuade a judge to unseal the deposition of state Attorney General Mike Cox in a lawsuit over the unsolved slaying of a stripper.
In a court filing Wednesday, the Free Press says information identifying people with no role in the case could be redacted.
Federal Judge Gerald Rosen has refused to unseal documents, saying he wants to protect the ongoing investigation of Tamara Greene’s murder and the privacy of third parties.
Greene’s family is suing Detroit and former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, claiming the homicide investigation was intentionally stifled years ago.
Cox investigated a rumor of a 2002 party hosted by Kilpatrick and possibly attended by Greene but called it an “urban legend.”

He has brought the Cup onto Letterman and done “Stupid Cup Tricks.” He brought it to bars, and let fans drink from it. He has brought it to an auto body shop for repairs. He brought it to Scores, a NY strip club. He also put it on stage with an Edmonton stripper in 1987, and she gave it a brothel-quality dry humping.

(TPM)- A C-SPAN caller this morning asserted that Helen Thomas was right to say the Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine,” adding that they are “immigrants” who were kicked out of Germany “mainly because of diseases and homosexuality that were spreading.”
Thomas has been the center of some attention recently after a video surfaced in which she tells the Jews to leave Israel and “go home. Poland. Germany. And America and everywhere else.”
The caller calls her remarks “spot-on” and then blames “all the killings” of the Holocaust on the fact that the Germans wanted the Jews out of their country, but “nobody would take them” because they were spreading syphilis, “prostitution and homosexuality.”
