Detroit Strip Clubs: 15 NFL Players Who Had Horrible 2010 Offseasons
June 30, 2010 at 9:13 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsWillie Colon One of the worst parts of the offseason is the injuries sustained by players who never get to see the field in 2010. Willie Colon, is one of those victims. Colon tore his achilles in June and will miss the entire season. The blow is a big one for the Steelers who might have encountered the worst offseason of any NFL team. The injury leaves them searching for a new right tackle. And for Colon, who is on a one year contract, the timing couldn’t have been worse. The chances he’ll receive that contract extension he longs for may have been ripped away.
Vince Young
Can’t fault Vince Young for the pride in his alma mater. It really is a good football school.
Unfortunately, he didn’t realize it’s not worth fighting for.
Young found himself in a strip club brawl and right back into the spotlight he had begin to disappear from.
Detroit Strip Clubs: Detroit’s new factory of dreams
June 30, 2010 at 9:13 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsOn the other hand, just down the road, stands an icon of hope, a gargantuan factory complex, the Russell Industrial Center. It has the same lofty pedigree as the Packard plant (both were designed by Albert Kahn) and a similar vintage (it was built in the 1920s). As the former headquarters of Murray Corp., which made bodies for Ford in the glory days, this plant, too, is inhabited by ghosts. Here, however, the ghosts share quarters with some spirited company: a menagerie of glass blowers, cabinetmakers, architects, seamstresses, a sneaker designer, and three women who teach pole dancing, among others — 160 small-business tenants in all, most of them operating on the frontlines of Detroit’s burgeoning creative economy.
Their landlord is Dennis Kefallinos, 55, who immigrated from the Greek island of Zakynthos when he was 15, found a job as a dishwasher, and in all these years has never once stopped working long enough to learn how to read and write properly. Today, while he’s best known around town as the owner of Niki’s Pizza and a place called Bouzouki (which is, gulp, a strip club), he’s one of the city’s biggest real estate barons.

Lawyer wants Kilpatrick deposed
Judge asked to order video deposition in Greene murder case
Paul Egan / The Detroit News
Detroit — A lawyer for the family of slain exotic dancer Tamara “Strawberry” Greene asked a judge Tuesday to order former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to sit for a video deposition in state prison.
Greene, who was linked to a rumored stripper party at the mayor’s Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002, was shot to death in Detroit on April 30, 2003.
Her family is suing Kilpatrick and the city of Detroit, alleging they obstructed the investigation of her still-unsolved murder. The defendants deny the allegations.
Norman Yatooma, the lawyer for Greene’s family, has attempted for months to schedule a sworn deposition of Kilpatrick, now serving time for a probation violation at Oaks Correctional Facility near Manistee.
