A Detroit strip club which employed a 14-year-old girl as a topless dancer has been forced to close.
Wayne County Circuit Judge Virgil Smith has ordered the owners of All Stars to surrender the keys to the building which will be padlocked for one year beginning July 12.
The club’s attorney Timothy Murphy says he will file an appeal.
Club manager Andrew Hutson faces a July 13 preliminary examination on a charge of child sexually abusive activity. He was arrested in April after the girl’s mother told police she pulled her daughter from the club.
Police said the girl may have danced there several nights each week, making about $350 per night.
Defense attorney Marc Hart says Hutson had nothing to do with hiring the girl and that authorities charged “the wrong guy.”

DETROIT (WXYZ) – Neighbors are thrilled that a local strip club has been forced to close its doors, at least for now.
The All Star Strip Club on 8 Mile will close its doors on July 12th and remain closed for a year. The Wayne County Prosecutors office got permission to shut down the building.
The club is under scrutiny because of allegations that one of its dancers was just 14 years old.
The club’s manager, Andrew Hutson, is facing charges of child sexually abusive activity for hiring the young girl to work at the club.  Hutson told police the girl gave him what appeared to be valid identification showing she was 18 years old.

Chief Evans says the All Star club is not the only strip club causing problems for the city and its residents. He says other clubs are magnets for crime and the police are watching them too.
