DETROIT (AP) – An underage girl found dancing at a strip bar earlier this year was caught dancing at another topless club in Detroit on the same day the first establishment was padlocked, police said Tuesday.
Officers went to Club Onyx on Monday night after getting a tip that an underage girl was dancing, police spokesman John Roach said. The 15-year-old they found was the same girl who at age 14 was performing at All Stars Lounge in April, he said.

Club Onyx has operated as a strip bar for several years, Roach said. The area just around the club has been problematic for police in recent years, with one fatal shooting and three or four nonfatal shootings, he said.

Danny D Takes Flight: Danny D’s tribute to Rod Stewart is taking him to new heights.
Danny Dzialo, who goes by the stage name of Danny D, is a Hamtramck native who bears a close resemblance to Rod Stewart and has a live show performing Stewart’s music. He was the opening act for the Bud Light Riversight and Sound Concert Series in Mount Clemens a few weeks back.
Now Danny D — in his Rod Stewart persona — has been asked to host a Hot Legs contest July 22 at Flight Club, a topless bar in Inkster. You may recall Rod Stewart had a hit single titled “Hot Legs” back in the late 1970s.

People began lining up for wristbands early Thursday morning. By 9 a.m., supervising producer Patrick Lynn estimated there were upward of 10,000 people waiting in the nearly 90-degree heat. Auditions begin Saturday.
The hopefuls were mixed on Cowell’s departure. Some were relieved they won’t have to face him; others wished they could get his critique.
Wristbands will also be handed out Friday, with auditions beginning Saturday.

Detroit Strip Clubs: Metro Detroit owns its bad image
July 16, 2010 at 2:12 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsMetro Detroit owns its bad image
Some days you couldn’t blame the chamber of commerce if it decided to close its doors and go on vacation someplace else.
With the stories coming out of Metro Detroit lately, burnishing the region’s image is an impossible task.
In the past week, we’ve had an allegedly murderous grandmother in Highland Park, an Oakland County woman facing trial on charges of tracking down the son she gave up for adoption 15 years ago and then sexually assaulting him, a 15-year old Detroit girl arrested for the second time for working in a strip club, and a 5-year-old Lincoln park boy mauled to death by dogs in his own home. Throw in former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s indigent plea in a federal court for good measure.
Pool theme.
