Detroit Strip Clubs: D12 Feat. Trick Trick – "I Made It" Video (NSFW)

March 31, 2011 at 8:24 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

Here’s a freshly released video from local rap veterans D12 and Trick Trick for their song “I Made It.” It’s noticeable at times that within the conversations regarding who is most popular and most talented within Detroit hip-hop these days that D12 and Trick Trick don’t usually get mentioned. It sort of depends on who you talk to realistically but one gets the sense with this new music video that Trick and D12 are trying to change that.
On “I Made It,” both are up to their usual ways with crazy raps about shooting folks and not taking shit from anyone. Half of the video is shot in a Detroit strip club (anybody know which one?) and features silly antics like Trick Trick holding up a replica of Yung Berg’s chain that he famously stole a couple of years ago and folks stealing everything from watches to Newport cigarettes. You will see a set of bare breasts (it is a strip club after all) and notice that Bizarre is looking skinnier these days. There’s no Eminem appearance in this video but the antics are definitely Shady Records worthy.

A former Kentucky State University football player was arrested along with two other men in connection with a string of armed robberies at Detroit clubs, according to a story in the Detroit Free Press.
Quan Dorsey, 22, was arraigned on 11 counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, 12 counts of armed robbery and charges of using a firearm to commit a felony on Wednesday. Police say Dorsey and two other men robbed the Player’s Club on 8 Mile back on March 19. Police called Dorsey the ringleader. A spokeswoman for Kentucky State University’s sports information office told the newspaper he played football at the school, but was not currently on the team. His residence is still listed as Frankfort.

The Detroit News
Detroit— Police said today they’ve busted an apparent robbery ring that held up bars and strip clubs.
The three men were arrested March 19 after Detroit police responded to a robbery at the Player’s Club, an adult entertainment business in the 13700 block East Eight Mile.
Police observed the men fleeing in a white Oldsmobile Aurora, which was allegedly used in the other robberies, police said.
During the arrest, police recovered an AK-47, three handguns and an undisclosed amount of cash, said Detroit Police Chief Ralph L. Godbee Jr.
A subsequent investigation allegedly tied the trio to three other robberies by masked gunmen: Menjo’s Bar in the 900 block West McNichols on Feb. 5, Club Gold Coast in the 2900 block East Seven Mile on March 3, and Tycoon’s Bar in 12000 block of East Eight Mile, also on March 3.

Detroit Strip Clubs: Justice after Deadly Night at Arturo’s

March 30, 2011 at 9:14 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

Not only did Eiland Johnson not know how to behave in a club, he didn’t know how to dress for one. After being teased by a stripper for looking like he had arrived in his underpants, an upset Johnson went to his truck, got a gun, came back and lit up Cheetah’s Gentleman’s Club on Eight Mile.
He got away with it. Too bad because ten days later in August of 2009, he went to another club — Arturo’s in Southfield. Johnson went with Deandre Woolfolk, an admitted accomplice to murder, and Darnell Cooley, who authorities describe as the kingpin of the Black Mafia Family, a deadly narcotics syndicate with its taproot in Detroit.

Woolfolk took a deal for three to five years in prison. Johnson took the same, plus ten years for the strip club shooting. Cooley, the kingpin, took the same, as well, and will be formally sentenced in April.
