Detroit Adult Entertainment: American Hellholes, the US Economy is Dieing, there are simply No Jobs

Gangs have stepped into the gaping void left by industry. In Camden today, drugs and prostitution are two of the only viable businesses left – especially for those who cannot find employment anywhere else. The following is how Hedges describes the current state of affairs….
There are perhaps a hundred open-air drug markets, most run by gangs like the Bloods, the Latin Kings, Los Nietos and MS-13. Knots of young men in black leather jackets and baggy sweatshirts sell weed and crack to clients, many of whom drive in from the suburbs. The drug trade is one of the city’s few thriving businesses. A weapon, police say, is never more than a few feet away, usually stashed behind a trash can, in the grass or on a porch.

Vallejo is still in bankruptcy. The police force has shrunk from 153 officers to 92. Calls for any but the most serious crimes go unanswered. Residents who complain about prostitutes or vandals are told to fi …

Detroit Strip Clubs: ‘They picked the wrong guy,’ say Windsor police

April 25, 2011 at 5:48 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

Two brick-wielding attackers bit off more than they could chew in a brawl outside a strip club Friday night, Windsor police say.
Police said two suspects are facing assault charges after a brawl broke out outside Studio 4 on Huron Church Road. But though police said one of the two assailants was brandishing a brick, it was the victim who came out in better shape.
“The victim had the least of the injuries,” said Staff Sgt. Brad Hill. “They picked the wrong guy to pick a fight with.”
Hill said the victim was dropping someone off in the parking lot around 7: 30 p.m. when two men approached.
An argument broke out, which escalated into a brawl, during which the brick got involved. The victim put up a fight, he said, and one of the assailants ended up hospitalized.

Detroit Massage Parlors: Craig Ferguson puts on a hilarious show at Caesars Windsor

April 25, 2011 at 5:36 am | In Detroit massage parlors | No Comments

Ferguson’s entrance was very dramatic. It began with music playing and then a green toy chest was pushed onto the stage. Puppets Wavy Rancheros (an alligator/crocodile) and Sid (a white rabbit) appeared from the toy chest and started singing a song. I originally thought that Craig Ferguson was also going to pop out of the toy chest, but he didn’t.
After the song ended, Craig Ferguson walked onto stage and told his first joke, “It’s a Great Day for Canada, Everybody!”
He thanked everyone coming and said: “Wow, it’s fantastic. You can’t say not this f***ing dump again. I have a baby in the house. This entire thing is a construct so I can get one night in a hotel room.”
Ferguson started out with some Drew Carey jokes and noted that The Price is Right host has lost a lot of weight. “Fat is where comedy is stored, joke containers,” Ferguson joked.
The comedian also discussed his new baby, experimenting with drugs, massage parlors, Coco Chanel, shark week and how he hates to read the tabloids. Several times during the show, he used his catchphrase “CBS Cares.”

Detroit Strip Clubs: Laura Berman Hysteria plays into pastor’s hands

April 22, 2011 at 8:12 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No Comments

That ought to be an annoyance, not a flashbulb-popping event. Yet Jones has found a riveting way to rouse fear and attention, deftly playing local officials, who are firing their biggest pre-emptive cannons on his flea circus act.
Wayne County prosecutors hauled Jones into a Dearborn courtroom Thursday. In pursuit of an unspecified peace bond from Jones to cover potential police costs, prosecutors laid out a worst-case scenario of potential violence and mayhem that makes Jones sound like one scary and powerful dude.
Rather than post bond, Jones is opting to go to trial today — a strategy that will generate more headlines and YouTube possibilities with little added cost for him, but plenty of costs for taxpayers.
Meanwhile, in an open letter to Jones, the mayor of Dearborn, Jack O’Reilly, hamhandedly defended American freedoms in Dearborn, citing Dearborn Sausage and the city’s strip bars as proof of the city’s American bona fides.
