LANSING (WKZO) — Five people are arrested for allegedly conducting a human trafficking operation in the state.
Attorney General Bill Schuette says Mustaffa Muhammad, Jason Sherrill and Rita Jemison of Detroit,Tara Muhammad of Chesterfield Township and Brooklyn Siebert of Warren are the alleged organizers of the “Detroit Pink,” a prostitution ring that was advertised as an on-line escort service.
It is alleged that photographs of approximately two dozen prostitutes were posted on various websites saying the girls were available for “dates,” at rates of 300-dollars per hour. The five people arrested are each charged with multiple felonies including human trafficking, pandering, prostitution and racketeering.

Detroit Escorts: Michigan attorney general charges organizers of prostitution ring
November 30, 2011 at 7:36 pm | In Detroit escorts | No CommentsSchuette said it is alleged Mustaffa Muhammad, together with his now estranged wife, Tara Muhammad, launched the prostitution ring called “Detroit Pink” in 2006. The couple allegedly set up Detroit Pink as an online escort service with approximately two dozen prostitutes.
…
The two women were the most trusted prostitutes who aided Mustaffa in his duties. Siebert and Jemison allegedly collected proceeds from other prostitutes for Mustaffa, posted ads for other prostitutes and provided transportation for other prostitutes. In addition, Jemison and Siebert continued to prostitute for Mustaffa.
Sherrill allegedly served as the “computer guy,” primarily responsible for posting ads for Mustaffa’s girls and occasionally transporting girls for dates. Sherrill is reported to be living in a house provided by Mustaffa, and Schuette alleges that his work in posting ads for Mustaffa’s prostitutes is in exchange for room and board. While Mustaffa lives with several of his prostitutes in Detroit, most of his prostitution activities allegedly took place in Southfield hotels.

Detroit Strip Clubs: 31 Things We Learned From the ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ Commentary
November 30, 2011 at 4:49 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsAccording to Brest, the stripper in the scene where Axel, Rosewood, and Taggart are at the club together was a dance named Mouse. She was evidently a legendary stripper, and the song playing in this scene, “Nasty Girl” by Vanity 6, was the actual song Mouse danced to. You don’t get a lot of director’s commentary talking about the strippers they use in their movies. I felt it necessary to mention it here. Point Brest. Point breast. I’m five.
…
In the scene where Axel is explaining to Lt. Bogomil, played by Ronny Cox, what went down at the strip club, Brest notes it was a completely closed set with no oxygen or central air being pumped in. Since it was the middle of August, the set was ridiculously hot and everyone was extremely sluggish. Brest mentions Murphy, who had hardly ever drank coffee in his life, had a cup of coffee before shooting the scene, and it sent him off the wall. If you look closely, you notice Murphy’s eyes twitching quite a bit in this scene. Also look closely, and you’ll notice John Ashton cracking up through the entire scene.
Detroit Strip Clubs: Why the hate for Nickelback?
November 30, 2011 at 3:12 am | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsWhat is it about Nickelback, who played at the Grey Cup on Sunday as well, that makes them a lightning rod for hate? I spent part of Thursday on TV trying to explain why everyone cites Nickelback as The Band You Must Despiseâ¢. Emails and tweets on the subject made the answer sound self-evident. âTheyâre hated because they suck!â Another responded âPeople hate Nickelback for the same reasons they hate Justin Bieber and NKOTB.â Neither really answered the question.
Frankly, Iâve never understood the source of this venom. Is it because Nickelback writes carefully formulated arena rock? Maybe itâs their super radio-friendly pop-rock ballads. Is it because theyâve sold 50 million records? Or does all this negativity spring from the image of their fans, people often characterized by haters as a) having very poor and/or unsophisticated taste in music; or b) pickup-drivinâ working-class rednecks who canât wait to spend their paycheques on strippers and beer?
