Detroit Adult Entertainment: ‘Serious’ choices yet to emerge for windsor’s top job

When it comes to Windsor’s next mayor, the choice for voters so far is between two students with zero political experience or a perennial underdog who once proposed a brothel to fund a children’s hospital.
A possible fourth candidate waiting in the wings is a former wrestling pro and karaoke host.
“Abysmal, abysmal … where are the serious candidates?” University of Windsor professor emeritus Lloyd Brown-John, a close watcher of the municipal scene, said of the offerings so far for the Oct. 25 election. While experienced and “big-name people” are lining up for mayoral battles in other cities like London, Ottawa and Toronto, he’s concerned Windsor’s campaign has yet to draw any high-calibre talent.

The pair now joins Ernie Lamont, 62, who was the first to announce his candidacy for the Windsor mayoral position. Among his previous campaign suggestions, Lamont once proposed a brothel in the former Cleary International Centre.
