Detroit Adult Entertainment: Three men jailed over Coventry and Leamington brothels

Cheung Zhao Su, Ziqian Liu and Bochao Nan were arrested after West Mercia Police smashed an organised crime network in which women were trafficked into the UK from China to brothels in Coventry, Leamington, Kidderminster, Worcester, Birmingham and Cheltenham between October 2006 and September 2008.
Another three men and a woman have already been sentenced.
A hearing at Hereford Crown Court heard how the men used a “chicken-house” system, moving the women on from one to another.
Laura Hobson, prosecuting, told the court that suspicion was aroused about a brothel in Worcester when the landlord heard reports of men hanging around outside. He found baby oil and condoms in a room lit by a red light bulb and saw “a Chinese woman dressed only in a dressing gown”.

of Weoley Castle, Birmingham,
admitted two counts of trafficking within the UK for sexual exploitation, along with controlling prostitution for gain. They were ordered to serve 4½ years and 2½ years respectively.
