Over the years, Will Power had many interests: selling electronics, giving his time to the community, traveling the world.
“He was so diverse in his interests,” said his son Ed. “It was a life well-lived. That’s the kind of guy he was.”
Mr. Power died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. He was 77.
Born April 12, 1932, he grew up in Birmingham, where he gravitated toward electronics.
“He had a club, Electronics Unlimited. … He wired his whole house, under the carpeting, to his bedroom. He used to climb telephone poles and call girls to save a nickel,” said his wife, Eileen. “He figured out all kinds of things.”
After graduating from Birmingham High School in 1950, he studied electrical engineering at Valparaiso University in Indiana and General Motors Institute in Flint.
