We love following the Facebook adventures of our local lawmen. Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon shared a disturbing story on his page Wednesday. Apparently the good guys (undercover cops) impersonating bad guys (prostitutes) were harassed by bad guys impersonating cops. Benny posted: “I sent my Morality team to an area on the East Side to investigate prostitution complaints. As my officers work the scene, some guy — impersonating an officer — pulls up, flashes a badge and begins harassing my female detective! When we arrested him, he had a loaded Glock, DPD badge and DPD logo’d clothing. Who knows what could have happened next with this guy had we not arrested him.” Thankfully, that fake Detroit cop is off the street, and let’s hope the “Morality Team” doesn’t find us.
