Attorney General Mike Cox on accusation he interfered with murder investigation of Detroit stripper Tamara Greene: ‘This is crap’

Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, a candidate for governor, called an accusation he interfered with the murder investigation of Detroit stripper Tamara Greene “crap” (well, actually he first called it “bull$&#%,” but that would have made for an odd-looking headline).
Michigan State Police investigator Mark Krebs testified yesterday that Cox interfered with his investigation into an alleged party at the Manoogian Mansion in 2002.
Greene, a stripper known as “Strawberry”, allegedly danced at the party, and when she was murdered months later, rumors swirled she was killed to cover up her involvement.
Krebs, testifying in a civil suit filed by Greene’s family against former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and other city officials, said Cox wouldn’t issue requested subpoenas and directed detectives not to interview Carlita Kilpatrick, who allegedly crashed the party unexpectedly and began to attack one of the dancers.
