Detroit Strip Clubs: Former Mayor’s father to be deposed in stripper lawsuit
August 24, 2010 at 5:24 pm | In Detroit strip clubs | No CommentsDETROIT (WXYZ) – After skipping out on the first scheduled deposition date, Bernard Kilpatrick has agreed to be questioned under oath about a murdered stripper.
Birmingham attorney Norman Yatooma confirms that the former Detroit Mayor’s father is scheduled to be deposed on Tuesday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m.
Yatooma is suing the City of Detroit and Kwame Kilpatrick, claiming they obstructed the investigation into the shooting death of Tamara Greene. Greene was rumored to have danced at a never-proven Manoogian Mansion party.
In the last few months, Yatooma has been wrapping up several high-profile depositions as the discovery phase of this lawsuit winds down. When Bernard Kilpatrick failed to show up at a scheduled deposition on August 12, Yatooma asked the judge to hold the elder Kilpatrick in contempt of court. The judge set a contempt hearing for August 31, but that would be canceled if Bernard Kilpatrick testifies under oath that same day in the deposition.
