Detroit Strip Clubs: Investor: $10K won Kilpatrick’s help

Kilpatrick, who was released in February after serving 99 days on obstruction of justice-related charges connected to a police whistle-blower trial, has since moved to Texas and could not be reached for comment Friday. His Detroit attorney, James C. Thomas, did not return phone calls.
Papas did not respond to a message left on his cell phone.
The deals later fell through and the money was never actually paid to Orecchio’s AA Capital.
AA Capital, an investment company based in Chicago, was shut down after federal lawsuits brought in Illinois by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor alleged Orecchio misspent nearly $11 million in investments by Detroit-area union pension funds on lavish travel and entertainment and diverted money into a company Orecchio controlled that operated the Crazy Horse strip club in Detroit.
