LINCOLN PARK, Mich. — After years of legal wrangling and controversy, a Lincoln Park topless bar is one step closer to opening.
Larry Flynts Hustlers Club has been at the center of controversy over the past seven years. Some city leaders tried to keep it from opening, and the fight between the city and the club wound up in federal court.
The fight came to an end Monday when the city council approved a resolution recommending the club receive a liquor license.
Im voting yay, but I want it noted in the minutes that Im doing so under the citys settlement agreement, which I dont authorize or support, said Tom Murphy, Lincoln Parks city council president.
